ICOPA 2026 to Bring Together the Global Parasitology Community in Montréal this August

The 16th International Congress of Parasitology (ICOPA 2026), the premier event organised by the World Federation of Parasitologists (WFP), will take place on August 16-21, 2026, in Montréal, Canada. As the largest gathering in the field of parasitology, ICOPA will bring together leading scientists, researchers, and practitioners from around the world to share knowledge, foster collaborations, and address global challenges in parasitic diseases.   

Under the theme “Parasites in a Changing World”, the upcoming congress will cover a broad spectrum of critical topics, with a special focus on the emerging challenges driven by climate change, the expanding role of extracellular vesicles in parasitic infections, and the development of innovative diagnostic tools and vaccines.

In addition, ICOPA 2026 will highlight cutting-edge advancements in global health, the integration of artificial intelligence in parasitology research, and the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration. Through expert-led presentations, interactive sessions, and collaborative dialogue, the congress aims to inspire innovative strategies and foster global partnerships to combat parasitic diseases more effectively.
