Hotel Operations Specialist, FIT (temporary) – Tel Aviv

Kenes Group is looking for a Hotel Operations Specialist who will be responsible for providing professional services in the area of Hotel Reservations for Groups and FITs.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent customer support to all Kenes FIT clients and groups
  • Operate all hotels reservations including payments, billing, invoicing, amendments, cancellations etc.
  • Update the Kenes online systems with the necessary data
  • Communicate on a daily basis with all external global suppliers, negotiate rates and deadlines
  • Serve as focal point for individual travellers booking their accommodation through the Kenes online system
  • Close working relationships with all Kenes departments and project teams, as well as with outside suppliers, including hotels, local agents, wholesalers, pharmaceutical companies and travel agencies around the world
  • Availability and willingness to work outside standard office hours, on weekends and holidays during congresses

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to draft correspondence in English
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitasking before/during a congress, work under pressure for long periods, prioritising and meeting tight deadlines
  • Highly service oriented
  • An excellent team player
  • Exceptionally detail-oriented and organised
  • Ability to work independently, highly reliable, reporting to management if/when problems arise

Education & Experience:

  • Experience in hotels, tourism, travel, or in the events industry
  • Knowledge of rates – an advantage
  • Extensive experience in a global work environment
  • Fluent in English, verbal and written communication, other European languages – an advantage
  • Computer skills – a full comprehension of Microsoft Office, ERP systems, interfaces between different computer systems etc.

Executive Director – Amsterdam/Geneva

Kenes Group is recruiting an Executive Director for our client – ISE (the International Society of Endocrinology).

About ISE:

Since its foundation in 1960, the International Society of Endocrinology (ISE) has pursued the worldwide advancement of education, science and patient care in Endocrinology.

Today the society forms a strategic federation of National Endocrine Societies which aims to stimulate international cooperation and co-ordinate scientific exchange, debate and dissemination between healthcare professionals around the world.

Our Requirements:

As ISE has grown in size and complexity, the society wishes to recruit a proven Executive Director to drive the recently launched 5-year strategic plan. The society requires a Senior Leader who can skillfully position and lead the society through this crucial next phase of business growth.

The candidate will have experience in successfully delivering business growth within a  nonprofit organization. Strategic business planning and follow-through are needed, along with a sound knowledge of the operational requirements for directing a nonprofit organization. Attention to culture, community and mission must be a continual focus. This candidate will bring experience implementing strategic plans, building relationships, performance measurements and management controls, while building trust and credibility across a broad stakeholder group.

The Executive Director will need to be a strong, and passionate advocate for Endocrinology, someone comfortable serving as a spokesperson for ISE and compelled by delivering results.

Key Skills and Attributes:

The candidate should have a broad understanding of running an organization or business. He/she has at least 3-5 years experience in a similar Executive Director/ Senior Account Management role. The following skills and attributes are essential:

  • Detailed operational knowledge of all elements of directing a non-profit organization
  • Proven ability to participate as part of an executive team/board
  • High level of commercial and financial awareness
  • Proven ability to plan strategically and to recognize potential threats and opportunities for growth
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Advanced information technology skills
  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills, including an ability to manage stakeholder relationships
  • Good judgment and the capacity to work independently, proactively and creatively
  • Experience of representing an organization at all levels
  • Ability to build effective working relationships with a variety of stakeholders and international bodies
  • Experience of large scale conferences/live events
  • Experience in educational programming
  • Experience in a science-related organization or similar society
  • Availability to travel to required scientific events or for ISE representation

Marketing Coordinator (temporary) – Tel Aviv

Kenes Group is looking for a highly motivated Marketing Coordinator temporary position for maternity leave replacement (with an option to become permanent) to join the Marketing team. This is a tremendous opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the international marketing world. The Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for providing daily support to the Marketing Manager to increase congress profits and ensuring long-term growth, implementing marketing strategies, innovative tools and on time delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Marketing Manager by assisting and implementing marketing activities
  • Liaise with designers for marketing collateral production, such as flyers, brochures and exhibition-related projects
  • Assist with website briefings, production and updates
  • Produce written content for website and online newsletters
  • Coordinate and implement promotional activities targeting societies and events
  • Oversee and monitor social media accounts

Requirements:

  • High proficiency in English or mother tongue – a must
  • Great attention to detail
  • Excellent ability to multitask, to prioritise and work well under pressure
  • Result-oriented with strong interpersonal skills
