Breakthrough T1D Clinical and Research Congress (CRC 2026) Brings Together clinicians, researchers and leading experts in Advancing type 1 Diabetes

The Breakthrough T1D Clinical and Research Congress (CRC 2026), the inaugural congress of the Breakthrough T1D, took place from 9-11 October 2026 in Pennsylvania Convention Center, bringing together 1000 healthcare providers, researchers, industry partners and community advocates from across the T1D ecosystem from 33 countries.

The event provided a platform for knowledge exchange, collaboration and innovation, with a scientific and professional programme focused on immunotherapies, automated insulin delivery and islet cell therapies reflecting the latest developments and priorities across type 1 diabetes.

Across the two and a half days, participants engaged in:

  • plenary sessions (changing the Future T1D Paradigm, Charting the Dynamic Evolution of T1D Care, Diabetic Ketoacidosis, From Somatic Cells to Therapeutic Solutions), workshops
  • international speakers
  • networking, collaboration, community exchange

The programme addressed key industry challenges and emerging trends in type 1 diabetes, supporting meaningful dialogue and knowledge sharing across the global community.

The congress went above and beyond all expectations when the project was first launched. Not only did the numbers exceed projections, but the scientific level and the enthusiasm of all participants clearly demonstrated that a dedicated meeting focused specifically on type 1 diabetes was both needed and highly valued by the community.
