The Marketing and Communications Specialist will be responsible for managing and executing marketing and communications programs. They will be responsible for cultivating relationships with all stakeholders, maintaining all aspects of day-to-day community engagement through various communications channels. This role is performed under the supervision of an Executive Director and involves liaising with various stakeholders, including board members, committee members and the journal editorial office, while ensuring the smooth execution of a wide range of tasks, projects and initiatives.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assist with the administration of the Secretariat & Liaison Office;
• Provide administrative support to the Executive Director;
• Coordination of promotional materials to promote online events through digital channels;
• Coordination of logistical requirements for digital and in-person meetings ;
• Develop and execute marketing and social media campaigns;
• Serve as the media liaison and prepare news releases and daily news briefs;
• Prepare, edit and coordinate all committee- and editorial office-related communication and materials;
• Research, write, and edit communications, including newsletters, clinical and patient education articles, human interest stories, brochures, and marketing materials ;
• Compile relevant Board of Directors meeting materials, including slide presentations;
• Website content updates and maintenance;
• Coordination of association presence at live events, in publications etc.;
• Maintaining the visual identity;
• Support web marketing as required.
JOB SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in social media/marketing;
• Bachelor’s Degree in communications, marketing, advertising, or a related field;
• Expert-level understanding of all social media technologies;
• Professional-level English;
• Proficiency in core applications and willingness to learn new systems – Microsoft Office, Canva, Hootsuite, email marketing system, website management system, SurveyMonkey and video platforms like Zoom;
• Demonstrated skills in the design and production of marketing materials, newsletters, press releases, email and print materials and campaigns;
• Willingness to work an average of 2-3 evenings a month to host meetings and online programs.
• Willingness to travel for work-related activities and events.
