Geneva, Switzerland, May 17, 2015 – Kenes Group, a leading Professional Conference Organiser (PCO) and Association Management Company (AMC), today announced the signing of a new partnership agreement with the Thoracic Society of Thailand to host the society’s 21st Congress of the Asian Pacific Society of Respirology (APSR) in Bangkok next year. The meeting will take place from 12-15 October 2016 at the QSNCC (Queen Sirikit National Convention Center), with an expected 1,700 delegates from the region and around the globe.

Founded in 1986, the APSR society’s objectives are the advancement and promotion of knowledge of the respiratory system in health and disease. This important annual gathering, under the auspices of the Thoracic Society of Thailand, aims to encourage research, improve clinical practice through teaching, increase awareness of health problems in the area and promote the exchange of knowledge among respirologists in the Asia Pacific region. The APSR conference will show the latest advances in science and technology, including epidemiology, research and clinical practice in the field of respiratory medicine by renowned experts from the region and around the globe.

Bangkok’s Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (QSNCC) opened in 1991. Named after Thailand’s Queen Sirikit in honor of her 60th birthday, for the past two decades, the center has hosted numerous prestigious gatherings, earning a worldwide reputation as the nation’s leading conference center.
