Geneva, Switzerland, April 25, 2017Kenes Group, a leading Professional Conference Organiser (PCO) and Association Management Company (AMC), is building a stronger brand through one of its fundamental values – collaboration. Today the company announces a new partnership with 1001 Events, a reputed DMC with intensive local know-how, who are now a representative for Kenes in the Middle East. With the addition of three new offices Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Muscat, the presence of Kenes Group in the EMEA is stronger.

With flagship destinations such as Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Oman, the whole world is taking note of the remarkable speed with which the region is asserting itself, the quality and variety they present and the myriad opportunities existing in the region due to its openness and collaboration. Building strong knowledge hubs, and working hand in hand with policy makers to make different kinds of events possible, and to allow more people to enjoy the destination, has proven a successful development strategy.

Kenes sees these new stars on the meeting industry horizon as an important asset to its presence and to strengthening its position in the EMEA region. 1001 Events is a well-trusted partner with an established, positive, relationship with Kenes. “With more than fifty years of experience planning events globally, I can say that collaborations such as this one, have become the foundation of our industry, yielding wonderful results to both companies, and allowing us to grow in new ways. What further attracted us to the Middle East is the culture of collaboration and the strong knowledge hubs established there commented Marlies Steinebach, Global Director Business Development.

We have already been working in the Middle East, bringing events to the region such as the 7th International Conference on Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Disorders in the Middle East (ICADME), and in 2019, we are bringing the annual meeting the World Congress of Neurology (WCN), and more that are in the planning, also in the GCC region” commented Sadik Caglar, Vice President Middle East at Kenes Group. Agnelo Fernandes, Regional Manager Middle East and CEO of 1001 Events added: “We are very proud to become a part of Kenes and be able to showcase our relationship as a good practice for the industry to follow because, in the events industry behind each successful event, there is a solid and dependable partnership that seeks to deliver excellence.
