Kenes Group is looking for a highly motivated Association Account Manager, based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands or Sofia, Bulgaria. The Association Account Manager will manage secretariat, activities, and operations of not-for–profit medical associations. He/she will also work to ensure that every aspect of the association management is optimized managed in accordance with each association’s guidelines and objectives.



  • Partner in the design of each association’s strategy
  • Develop comprehensive business development strategy for the association in order to meet growth targets.
  • Identification of association trends and opportunities in order to achieve the highest positioning of the association in its particular field

    Management and Tasks:

  • Operating as management advisor to the association’s board
  • Management of elections according to each association’s guidelines and handling transition period of the board
  • Coordination and management of association’s activities and development/management of its products
  • Coordination and management of association meetings (board meetings, general meetings, different committees etc.)
  • Association branding and visibility
  • Coordination of association’s publications (official journal and other)
  • Management of association’s website
  • Providing information on legal formalities concerning registration of the association, if required
  • Management of the association’s secretariat and archives
  • Managing the associations’ budgetary forecasting processes, budget tracking, management of basic bookkeeping/accounting and payments processes


  • Manage interface with the association board, committees/subcommittees / task groups/editors etc. and with association’s partners, sister organizations, national and international bodies
  • Manage interface with external parties (like publishers, external web providers, different contractors and service providers), and represent the association (e.g. other congresses)
  • Manage interface with bank, auditor, lawyer, legal bodies etc
  • Process and control payments & do the association’s basic bookkeeping
  • Work in cooperation with the MC (Membership Coordinator) giving association’s guidelines related to membership, coordinating membership affairs and journal operational process
  • Coordination of congress issues and working with LOCs and PCOs
  • Work in cooperation and partnership with the congress Meeting Planner and all Kenes supporting departments
  • Work in cooperation with the Industry Liaison and Sales Manager for association corporate sponsorship & fundraising
  • Work in cooperation with Kenes Marketing on branding matters

  • Experience: Proven successful track record of 3-5 years in association management. Experience in dealing with VIP’s in multi-cultural environments.
